Casserole: Apple Noodles Under Hood
The perfect casserole: apple noodles under hood recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 20 piece Paccheri – are half a canneloni
- 3 piece Apples
- 1 tablespoon Raisins
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 piece Egg
- 0,5 piece Vanilla pod scraped out
- 500 ml Vanilla sauce from my KB http://www./rezept/425836/Sossen-Vanillesosse-mal-nicht-aus-der-Tuete.html
- 50 ml Cream 30% fat
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 50 g Almond sticks toasted with a little sugar
- Pre-cook the pasta in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes.
- Place upright in a baking dish.
- Peel and roughly grate apples. Mix with sugar and steam until soft. Season with the pulp of half a vanilla pod – I used the second half for the sauce. Separate one egg and add the egg yolk along with the rum to the steamed apples. Stir in the raisins.
- Now fill the pre-cooked pasta with this mixture.
- Make the vanilla sauce according to the instructions – use only one egg yolk and only half a vanilla pod.
- Pour the sauce around the pasta. They shouldn’t be covered, but should stand in the sauce almost to the brim.
- Cover and bake at 190 degrees lower / upper heat in the preheated oven.
- In the meantime, beat the egg whites until stiff and mix with a little sugar and the cream.
- Spread this mixture over the pasta and bake again – without a lid – for half an hour. Caution: the snow mass is rising quite a bit.
- Serve on preheated plates and garnish with the toasted almond sticks.
