Kasseler Apple Casserole
The perfect kasseler apple casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Casserole
- 450 g Waxy potatoes
- 2 Rods Leek
- Salt
- Pepper
- 300 g Kassel chop triggered
sauce
- 150 ml Milk or cream
- 3 Eggs
- 2 teaspoon Vegetable broth powder
further ingredients
- 2 Apples
- 50 g Walnut kernels
- 30 g Breadcrumbs
- 30 g Butter
Casserole
- Peel the potatoes into slices, wash the leek and cut into rings. Peel the kasseler into cubes, core the apples and cut into wedges.
- Boil the potatoes in boiling salted water for 6 minutes and after 3 minutes add the leek – drain over a sieve
sauce
- Mix the milk with the eggs, vegetable stock powder and pepper
Covering
- Chop the nuts and toast them with the breadcrumbs and butter
Complete
- Grease a baking dish, add the potatoes, leek, smoked pork and apples, mix and pour the sauce on top.
- Finally spread the nut mixture over it and put it in the 200c. warm oven for about 40 minutes.
- Take the casserole out of the oven, let it rest a little and then arrange it on a plate and enjoy .— Bon appetit; 🙂
