Catfish fillet with nuts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 ports. Fish fillet(s) (catfish fillets à 180 g)
  • 10 tbsp nuts (pecans or walnuts), ground
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the ground nuts on a plate; on another, combine flour, salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Whisk the egg in a soup bowl. Coat the fish fillets in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the nuts, pressing the nuts down lightly with your hand if necessary. Heat oil and butter in a large pan and fry the fillets over moderate heat until golden brown on both sides. Serving suggestion: Garnish with lemon slices and serve with a herb cream sauce and potatoes!
