Cauliflower and bean pan

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small head of cauliflower
  • 250 g green beans or bush beans, fresh
  • 400 g smoked pork
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp thyme, fresh, alternatively parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Trim the cauliflower, divide it into small florets, and wash it. Trim the broad beans and halve them depending on their size. Cut the smoked pork into approximately 2 cm cubes. Heat oil in a large pan. Brown the meat cubes on all sides. Deglaze with milk and cream and bring to a boil briefly. Add the vegetables and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley and thyme leaves.
