Cauliflower and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • salt water
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Divide the cauliflower into florets and pre-cook in salted water. Brown the minced meat with the onions, season with salt and pepper. Layer the cauliflower and minced meat in a casserole dish. Season the cream and an egg with salt and pepper, mix, adding a little milk if necessary for more liquid, and pour over the casserole. Sprinkle with the gratin cheese and place in the oven at around 160°C (fan oven with grill switched on) until the cheese is nicely browned, depending on your taste. Serve with boiled potatoes, for example, as a filling side dish.
