Cauliflower and pea puree

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 200 g peas, frozen
  • 6 sprigs basil
  • some salt and pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Clean and wash the cauliflower, and divide it into florets. Cover and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, wash the basil, shake it dry, pick off the leaves, and roughly chop them. After about 15 minutes of cooking time, add the frozen peas to the cauliflower and finish cooking. Drain both together and then mash finely with a potato masher. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper.
