Cauliflower Baked with Cheese
The perfect cauliflower baked with cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Sauce
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 20 g Flour
- 250 ml Cauliflower broth
- 1 corner Cream cheese
- 1 Egg yolk
- 5 tbsp Cream
- Salt and pepper
- Nutmeg
- 1 tbsp Chives
- 100 g Cheese, grated
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Clean and wash the cauliflower (I put it in salt water for 10 minutes so that no insects can hide in the cauliflower)
- Salt the water, when it is boiling, cook the cauliflower al dente for about 15 minutes, turning down the heat.
- Put the cauliflower in a greased baking dish and remove about 250 ml from the cauliflower stock.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour and the cauliflower broth. Bring to the boil, simmer gently for 20 minutes so that the flour taste goes out. Then season and remove from the hotplate to taste with a liaison of egg yolk and cream. Pour over the cauliflower and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
- Bake the whole thing for about 30 minutes.
