Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 750 g cauliflower
  • 400 ml milk
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 100 ml water (cauliflower water)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the cauliflower in salted water for 10-12 minutes, depending on how tender you like it. Meanwhile, melt the butter and whisk in the flour until creamy. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. Once everything is well blended, add about 100 ml of the cauliflower water and season to taste. Reduce heat to low for about 10 minutes. Finally, add the cauliflower. This dish is delicious with boiled potatoes.
