Cauliflower with quick vegan mustard sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ liter of water
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp dill
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Black pepper, freshly ground
  • n. B. vegetable oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Divide the cauliflower into larger florets, add to boiling water, and cook for 5-10 minutes, depending on how soft or firm you want the cauliflower. In a separate pot, stir the cornstarch into the cold water and bring to a boil while stirring. Add the mustard, turmeric, finely chopped dill, salt, and pepper, and mix everything well. If this is too low in fat for you, you can of course add a little more vegetable oil. Neutral olive oil or sunflower oil is ideal. Pumpkin seed oil or sesame oil also work well, depending on your taste. The flavor of the sauce will, of course, depend heavily on the mustard you use. Serve with fried potatoes and lots of onions.
