Celery with cheese

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 large celery
  • 100g Gorgonzola
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • 100 g mascarpone (or double cream cheese)
  • Pepper, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Clean and wash the celery, reserving the greens. Cut individual stalks into 3-4 long pieces and drain. Mash the Gorgonzola with a fork and stir in the cream. Stir in the mascarpone a spoonful at a time and season with pepper. Stir until smooth. Pour the creamed cheese into a small bowl and arrange the celery pieces next to it. Garnish with celery leaves. Note: Celery is a favorite of Italian vegetable cuisine. The largest growing region is Piedmont, closely followed by Lazio and Apulia.
