Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g walnuts
  • 400 g cream cheese
  • ½ lime(s), the juice
  • n. B. Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • e.g. cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • e.g. sesame seeds or chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

makes about 16 cheese balls

Roughly chop the walnuts, squeeze the lime, and reserve the juice. Mix the cream cheese with two-thirds of the nuts and the lime juice, and season generously with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Form the mixture into 16 balls and roll them in the remaining nuts or, optionally, in sesame seeds or chives. Chill for 10 minutes before serving. Tip: These cheese balls taste especially fiery when seasoned with a little Tabasco.
