Cheese casserole sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g herb cheese spread
  • 400 g cream cheese spread
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed or beef
  • 400 ml beef broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Suitable for potatoes and cooked pasta or as a simple dip

Brown the minced meat in a pan with a little fat. When it’s fully cooked, add the stock (400ml of water and then the stock powder is enough). When the stock is hot, add the cheese spread. Simmer until all the cheese spread has dissolved. Let the sauce cool. Recipe variation 1: Place cooked potatoes in a casserole dish and pour a generous amount of cheese sauce over them. Bake with grated cheese for about 30 minutes at 200°C (electric oven), depending on the quantity. Also works with pasta. Can be expanded with vegetables. Recipe variation 2: Let the cheese sauce cool (lukewarm) and use as a dip for nachos. Recipe variation 3: Can also be eaten on its own. Tastes best with some vegetables. Tip: It gets an even spicier note if you stir in some cayenne pepper. I personally enjoyed it very much in a sauce (Variation 3). Note: The time indicated refers only to the preparation. Casseroles, etc., will take longer.
