Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 15 g yeast
  • 300 g cheese, several varieties (Räßkäse, Rheintaler, Emmentaler)
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 eggs
  • some milk
  • some salt and pepper
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Knead the flour, yeast, salt, and water into a bread dough. Cover and let it rise slightly. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and finely grate the cheese. Add the eggs, seasoning, and a little milk. Mix everything well. Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick, line a baking sheet, and press up the edges. Spread the filling on top and bake at an increasing heat until golden brown. Serve while still hot. Enjoy with a good cider or coffee.
