cheese salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g cheese (e.g. Gouda or Edam)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 4 cucumber(s), sour
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 ½ tbsp sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 15 minutes

We like it very much for a snack

Chop the cheese, bell pepper, and pickles. Mix everything together, then add the oil and mix again. Finally, season with pepper, stir again, and let it sit in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours. We like this salad as a snack instead of serving sliced cheese on bread. Tip: Be careful with the oil, depending on the fat content of the cheese you choose. We prefer milder varieties like Gouda and Edam. Sometimes we also add Maasdam. Butter cheese and oil usually become too fatty.
