Spicy filled mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 balls of mozzarella (125 g each)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Drain the cheese, cut it in half, and use a cheese baller to generously scoop out the flat side. Chop the scooped portion into small pieces. Wash the tomatoes, cut them in half, remove the stems, and dice them. Peel and dice the onion. Finely chop the basil leaves. Mix the vinegar with salt and pepper. Stir in the olive oil. Mix the cheese pieces, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and basil with the marinade and fill the mozzarella halves.
