  • 600 g minced beef
  • 100 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 onions
  • 4 slices of cheese as desired
  • 1 oxheart tomato(s)
  • 8 slice(s) cucumber(s)
  • 4 lettuce leaves as desired
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 ½ tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 22 minutes; Total time approx. 52 minutes

For the honey onions, thinly slice the onions and fry them in a non-stick pan with a little butter over medium heat. Then pour 1 teaspoon of honey over the onions and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set the honey onions aside. For the burger sauce, mix the passata, mustard, and 1 teaspoon of honey and set the sauce aside. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a stainless steel pan. Form the ground beef into 4 flat patties and place them in the hot butter. Fry the patties for 3 minutes on each side and season with salt and pepper. Then place the cheese on the patties in the pan and briefly cover with a lid. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven. Cut open the burger buns. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of burger sauce on the underside of each burger bun, place the patties on top with the cheese from the pan, and bake for 5-6 minutes on the preheated oven rack. Then remove the burgers from the oven and top with honey onions, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and lettuce. Put the bun lids back on and enjoy immediately.
