Cheesy potatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 large potatoes
  • 500 g cheese (Appenzeller), grated
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly herbs of Provence

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the peeled potatoes, make a cross-shaped incision on the flat side, and season with salt and pepper, perhaps rubbing in Provençal herbs. Place the potatoes flat-side down on an oiled baking sheet and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. Turn over and bake for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the cheese and sour cream. After baking, spread this mixture over the potatoes and return them to the oven for another 10 minutes. A fresh salad goes wonderfully with this.
