Cherry jam with Amaretto

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg cherry(s), sweet
  • 1 gelling sugar, 2:1, (500g.)
  • 1 pkt. citric acid, (5g.)
  • 60 ml Amaretto, (20%)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pit the cherries and halve them if desired. Mix in a saucepan with the citric acid and preserving sugar. Let stand for about 2 hours, then bring to a boil, simmer for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat, pour in the Amaretto, and stir. Immediately pour into twist-off jars, screw on the lids, and set aside (about 20 minutes). I was able to fill 6 jars, each with a capacity of 150 ml.
