Cherry Oatmeal Cake
The perfect cherry oatmeal cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- For the dough:
- 200 g Flour
- 0,5 packet Baking powder
- 300 g Soft butter
- 250 g Fine oatmeal
- 150 g Sugar white
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar
- 4 Free range eggs
- 1 packet Lemon zest
- For covering:
- 1 Glass Morello cherries
- 5 tablespoon Crunchy oatmeal
- 50 g Sugar white
- Pour the morello cherries into a sieve and drain well.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Gradually stir in the eggs well. Add the lemon zest and stir in.
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and the fine oat flakes and stir in two portions. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
- Spread the drained morello cherries on the dough. Mix the hearty oat flakes with the sugar and spread over the cherries.
- Now place the cake in the oven preheated to 200 degrees (convection) and bake for approx. 45 – 50 minutes. After baking, take it out of the oven and let it cool down in the pan.
