Chicken breast filled with asparagus and ham – low calorie –

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g asparagus (in this case from the jar)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 2 chicken breast fillets (100 g each)
  • 30 g cheese (butter cheese)
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 1 tsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Chicken breast fillets

Drain the asparagus and reserve the asparagus water. If desired, trim the fat from the ham. Slice the chicken breast fillets lengthwise, but do not cut through; the two halves should still be connected. Season with salt and pepper, cover with the ham, then place the asparagus spears whole on top, fold the meat over them, and secure with skewers. Heat the oil and sear the meat for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Deglaze with a little asparagus water, place the cheese on top of the meat, cover the pan, and let everything simmer for a few more minutes, until the cheese has melted, of course. Serve with fresh baguette.
