Ingredients for 2 servings:
- ½ roast chicken, fried or grilled
- 400 g boiled potatoes
- 150 g smoked bacon
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 tbsp clarified butter
- salt and pepper
- 2 eggs, optional
- Chives, optional
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel the boiled potatoes, slice them, and fry them in clarified butter until golden brown. Cut the bacon into strips and fry in another pan. Slice the onion into half rings, add it, and fry until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the bones, dice it with the skin on, and add it to the pan with the bacon. Add the fried potatoes, mix everything well, and season with salt and pepper. If desired, serve the Gröstl with a fried egg and sprinkled with chopped chives.
