Chicken Meat, Juices, and More: an Expert Named the Foods You Shouldn’t Buy in the Supermarket

Not all food products available in the store are safe for health. Nutritionist Anna Drobysheva told us what products should not be bought in the supermarket.

First of all, the expert drew attention to pasteurized milk and refined oils.

Pasteurized milk

“Pasteurization modifies milk protein, our body does not recognize it and attacks it as an enemy. It is because of pasteurization that 75% of the population is lactose intolerant,” the expert said.

Refined and deodorized oils

“Such oils are the strongest carcinogen. Their molecular structure resembles plastic. Consumption of such products leads to atherosclerosis,” explained Drobysheva.

Sweet yogurts

According to the nutritionist, their excessive consumption can lead to obesity and diabetes, as well as instant cereals that lack fiber.

“According to WHO recommendations, the safe daily intake of sugar is 25 grams. Sweet yogurt contains 19 grams of sugar. Eating such products leads to diabetes and obesity,” the nutritionist warned.

Chicken meat

“To make chicken meat inexpensive, producers stuff chickens with hormones and antibiotics. Chicken meat is also a comfortable environment for the growth of pathogens that can survive even when frozen,” the expert said.

Packaged juices

“It is out of the question to talk about any natural fruit in such juices. It’s a mixture of dyes, sugar, and preservatives,” summarized Drobysheva.
