Chicken slices à la Ehrigsen

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast, shredded
  • 250 g pasta
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp Maggi
  • some flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Turn on two burners: one burner for the pan at 2/3 of the heat, and the second burner for a pot of water for the side dish. Finely chop or finely dice the onion. Sauté the onions and chicken strips in butter until the chicken is cooked through. Add a little more butter, dust with flour, and mix. Add the cream, milk, and Maggi and stir well. Reduce the heat to 1/3 or less; the strips should just simmer. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, stirring the pan occasionally until the desired consistency is reached. I usually cook for about 5 minutes, but everyone likes it differently. Spätzle tastes great with this, but any other noodles or rice will do, too.
