Chicken wings in honey barbecue marinade

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg chicken wings or chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 5 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp, leveled garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp, dried chicken seasoning (roast chicken seasoning)
  • 1 tbsp, crushed paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 35 minutes

Oven-baked chicken wings

To make the marinade, mix the honey, barbecue sauce, and seasonings well in a bowl. Place the chicken wings or thighs in a large bowl and marinate. If possible, let the marinade soak in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated wings on it. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven (220°C top/bottom heat) and bake the wings on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. Then place the wings on a large plate or in a bowl, brush with the remaining marinade, and let cool for about 5 minutes. I recommend using either sour cream or ranch dressing.
