Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 5 chicken wings
- 3 tbsp peanut oil or vegetable oil
- ½ lemon(s), squeezed
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 4 tbsp liquid honey
- 1 tsp chili oil or ground chili flakes
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 5 minutes
Halve the chicken wings at the joint, wash, and pat dry. For the marinade, place all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Place the chicken wings in a shallow dish or a box with a lid and coat with the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours. I always leave them in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. For the glaze, mix all ingredients together. Bake the chicken wings in the oven for 45 minutes, turning frequently. Brush the glaze several times during the last 10 minutes.
