Homemade oven fries, child-friendly, low in fat and very tasty, tried and tested by day-care children

Peel the potatoes and cut them into sticks. To do this, first slice the potatoes and then stack them on top of each other to create chips. Place them in water (this can be prepared well in advance). Drain well before cooking and pat dry with a paper towel. Place the potatoes in a bowl and mix well with the paprika, garlic powder, salt, herbs, and oil. This is best done with your hands. Then place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approx. 35 minutes. Then increase the oven temperature to 220°C and let the fries brown for another 10 minutes. Season with salt and serve. Tip: I usually add diced zucchini to the baking tray so that my day-care children also have a side dish of vegetables. The fries are their absolute favorite.
