Chili-pepper burger buns

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour type 550
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 300 ml water
  • 35 g butter
  • 10 g salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, hot
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp chili flakes, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

For 6 rolls

Combine flour, yeast, water, butter, and salt in a bowl and knead for 5 minutes. Then add the spices and knead for another 8 minutes. Let the dough rise at room temperature for 30 minutes. Weigh the dough and shape it into 6 equal-sized round balls. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet and flatten slightly. Place in the oven and let rise for another 45 minutes at room temperature. Then place a bowl of water in the oven and preheat the oven to 210°C. The buns will remain in the oven. Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, until they are the desired shade of brown.
