Chinese pancakes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tbsp oil (sesame oil)
  • 6 tbsp oil (sesame oil), for frying
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Sift the flour into a bowl, mix with the egg, egg white, and sugar. Add the water and make a batter that isn’t too thin. Finally, stir in the oil. Let the batter rest for 30 minutes. Then heat the oil in a pan and cook about 16 small pancakes. Finally, add the sesame seeds to the pan and toast briefly. Sprinkle the pancakes with the sesame seeds and sugar and roll them up. You can also serve the pancakes cut into wide strips. Variations: Apricot and almond filling, mango and lychee filling, or plum filling
