Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dry sherry
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 ½ cm fresh ginger root, grated
  • 250 g broccoli, in florets
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 red bell pepper(s), cut into strips
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow, cut into strips
  • 4 spring onions, cut into pieces
  • 3 tbsp honey, liquid
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the turkey cutlets into bite-sized pieces. Mix the cornstarch, soy sauce, sherry, and sesame oil well in a bowl. Toss the turkey in the oil. Heat the oil in a wok. Brown the meat pieces all over, then remove and set aside. Stir-fry the garlic, ginger, broccoli, and carrots in the wok for 4-5 minutes. Add the bell peppers and continue to fry for 3-4 minutes. Then stir in the turkey and spring onions. Finally, stir in the honey, vinegar, and tomato paste. Reduce the heat. Cover the wok. Cook for another 3-4 minutes. Serve immediately. Serve with long-grain rice.
