Chocolate Almond Brownies

The perfect chocolate almond brownies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Block chocolate
  • 250 g Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 tbsp Water
  • 200 g Almonds (whole)
  • 200 g White couverture
  • 250 g Spelt flour type 630
  • 100 g Almonds
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • Oil
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Break the chocolate block into pieces and melt in a water bath. Roughly chop whole almonds and roast them with the almond slivers in a pan without fat.
  2. Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and water until frothy. Gradually stir in the eggs and add melted chocolate. Mix everything well!
  3. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees!

  4. Roughly chop the white couverture. Mix flour with baking powder. Then fold the couverture, almonds, flour / baking powder mixture and cinnamon into the chocolate / egg mixture!
  5. Line a deep baking sheet or brownie pan with parchment paper and grease the edge!
  6. Put the dough in the baking sheet and spread evenly!
  7. Bake the dough in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes! Then let it cool down a bit, then take it out of the mold and let it cool down! If you like, sprinkle the brownies with powdered sugar!
