Chocolate bears made from sponge cake

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or hazelnut nougat cream
  • 2 tbsp chocolate sprinkles
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for 6-piece mini cake baking pan

Cream the butter until fluffy. Alternately add the sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs. Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder and stir into the foam mixture along with the cocoa powder/hazelnut spread, chocolate chips, and milk. Divide the batter evenly among the tins and bake for approximately 20-30 minutes. Conventional oven: 180°C, preheated, bottom shelf; fan oven: 160°C, middle shelf; gas mark 2-3, bottom shelf. The bears, or whatever shape you used, can be decorated with colorful chocolate drops, fruit gums, and/or icing.
