  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 85 g chocolate (block chocolate)
  • 180 g sugar
  • 60 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 tbsp milk
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 85 g chocolate (block chocolate)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Heat the chocolate with 2 tablespoons of milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a double boiler and melt until creamy. Beat the butter with the remaining ingredients until fluffy, add the egg yolks and the slightly cooled chocolate mixture. Then add the cornstarch (wheat flour), flour and baking powder alternately with the remaining milk. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the batter into a greased 26 cm springform pan and bake at 175°C (fan oven) for approx. 30 minutes. For the buttercream, cook a packet of vanilla pudding as usual, let it cool, then mix with the butter until smooth. Once cooled, cut the cake base open crosswise and spread the buttercream on the bottom layer. Place the second half on top and spread with the remaining buttercream. Finally, cover with chocolate glaze. Melt another 85g of chocolate, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk.
