Basic recipe for chocolate crepe batter

Melt the butter and mix it with the other ingredients in a bowl until you have a smooth batter. This batter is then refrigerated for about 30 minutes. After that, you can bake crêpes – either using a special crêpe maker or simply in a pan. The recipe is sufficient (depending on the size) for about 6-12 crêpes; my relatively small crêpe maker made 10. The crêpes can be eaten plain or dusted with powdered sugar. Fresh fruit or jam also go very well with them. And if you like them particularly chocolatey, you can also spread them with Nutella or something similar.
