Ingredients
For the cupcakes
- 150 g Flour
- 200 g Whipped cream
- 100 g Butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 0,25 tsp Baking soda
- 0,25 tsp Vanilla extract
- 75 g Cocoa powder
- 1 pinch Salt
For the frosting
- 100 g Butter
- 200 g Cream cheese
- 1 Orange
- 100 g Sugar
- 0,25 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 packet Ground gelatin
- 1 a little Orange food coloring
Instructions
- First we prepare the batter for the cupcakes. First we put the softened butter and sugar in a bowl and stir it with a mixer until a creamy mass forms. Then we add the eggs and stir again until a creamy mass forms. Then we add the flour, the cocoa powder, the pinch of salt, the baking soda and the vanilla extract and stir briefly on the lowest level and then on the highest level for about 30 seconds. Finally we add the whipped cream and stir everything at the highest level for about 2 minutes to form a smooth dough. Spread the dough in the muffin molds and bake at 175 ° C (fan oven) for about 20-25 minutes. Then let the cucakes cool down well. For the frosting, the orange is first washed and the orange peel rubbed off. Then the juice of the orange is squeezed out and heated with the butter, the sugar and the orange peel in a saucepan until everything is well mixed together. Allow to cool and then mix with the cream cheese and vanilla extract until it forms an even mixture. Then add the food coloring and gelatin and briefly put in the refrigerator until the mixture is firm enough to apply. Place the orange frosting in a piping bag on top of the cupcakes. Keep the cupcakes cool until serving.
