Chocolate Muffins with Sour Cherries

The perfect chocolate muffins with sour cherries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 80 g Butter
  • 130 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 dl Milk
  • 270 g Flour
  • 1,5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 100 g Sour cherries from the glass
  • Sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °. Put the sour cherries in a sieve and drain well.
  2. Crumble the chocolate and melt it together with the butter in a double boiler.
  3. Meanwhile, put the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, eggs and milk in a bowl and whisk well until the mixture is lighter.
  4. Pour in the melted chocolate and butter and stir everything well.
  5. Mix the flour, baking powder, and baking soda and add to the bowl. Mix everything well to form an even dough.
  6. Finally mix the sour cherries into the batter.
  7. Fill the dough into 12 stable molds approx. 7 cm in diameter. Bake in the lower half of the preheated oven for 17 minutes.
