A Kaiserschmarrn for chocolate addicts

Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Separate the egg and beat the egg white until frothy. Slowly add the vanilla sugar and continue beating the egg white until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg yolks with the milk. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and a little sugar. Add the egg yolks and milk and mix everything into a smooth batter. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Melt a little butter in a heated pan, pour in the batter, and scatter some chocolate drops on top. Place the pan in the oven and bake the Schmarrn for about 8-10 minutes. Then return the Schmarrn to the stovetop, scatter butter flakes and sugar on top, break the Schmarrn into pieces, and let the sugar caramelize slightly. Arrange the Schmarrn on a plate and serve sprinkled with chopped fruit, jam, and powdered sugar, if desired.
