Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour type 550
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 220 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 100 g chocolate drops, baking-proof
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter, egg, and milk and knead for at least 5 minutes to form a yeast dough. Let the dough rise in a warm place for one hour. Then knead the dough again and add the chocolate chips. Divide the dough into twelve equal pieces and shape each into a ball. Place the balls in a greased springform pan, cover, and let rise for another 20 to 30 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Mix the egg yolk with a splash of milk and brush the rolls with it. Bake the rolls on the middle rack of the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes. The rolls taste best when still warm.
