Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 40 g cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 125 g margarine
  • 130 g sugar
  • 375 ml milk
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • powdered sugar
  • 12 apricots, halved

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, beat the margarine and sugar until fluffy. Stir in the egg yolks. Mix the flour, baking powder, cocoa, and cornstarch and stir in alternately with the milk. Finally, gently fold in the egg whites. Bake the batter in the cloverleaf waffle iron and let the waffles cool slightly. Mix the cream cheese with the cream and powdered sugar until creamy. Spread it on the waffles with a spoon to resemble the whites of a fried egg. Place the apricots in the center to represent the egg yolks. Serve immediately. Makes 12 waffles.
