Chop with Caramelized Beer Sauce

The perfect chop with caramelized beer sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Chop
  • 3 Red Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 250 ml Broth
  • 150 ml Dark beer
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  1. Wash the chops, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, fry on both sides in a pan with hot oil, remove and keep warm.
  2. Peel the onions, cut in half and cut into thin slices and fry them in the chop fat.
  3. Now add the brown sugar and caramelize the onions, pour in the stock and beer and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Put the chops in the sauce and let it get hot.
  5. Put on a plate, pour the onion sauce over it and serve with potatoes and vegetables of your choice – we had peas with it
