Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg beans, chopped beans or 2 jars
- 300 ml water
- salt and pepper
- Thyme
- savory
- 100 g butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- some cream, liquid
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Cook the string beans with the water and spices. Fresh beans take about 15 minutes, canned beans only very briefly. Melt the butter in a mug in the microwave, stir in the flour, and pour the mixture into the cooked beans. Do not let it boil. Stir in a little cream and season again to taste. We serve this with boiled potatoes and meatloaf.
