Chocolate pudding with mandarin topping

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa content)
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 1 can of tangerine(s)
  • 1 pack of cake glaze, red

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Drain the mandarins. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar, then mix the cornstarch with 3 tablespoons of milk. Add the chocolate pieces to the remaining milk and bring to a boil while stirring. Stir in the cornstarch, remove from the heat, and stir in the egg mixture. Pour into small glasses (I use the moose-shaped tealight glasses, which makes 8 servings), leaving space for the mandarins. Let the pudding cool slightly, then divide the drained mandarins evenly between the glasses. Prepare the glaze according to the package instructions and spread it over the mandarins. Garnished with a chocolate leaf, this dessert looks very autumnal.
