Chopped Stick Oriental Style
The perfect chopped stick oriental style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 60 g Margarine
- 60 g Flour
- 500 g Minced pork
- 1 Diced onion
- 1 Garlic cloves chopped
- 2 tbsp Mustard
- 1 tbsp Ras-El-Hanout, alternatively also curry powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- 350 ml Water or broth
- 1 bunch Spring onions
- Roast the margarine and flour in a pan (coated), or better still in a wok pan, to a brown roux brun. Really really brown … just before burning (stir a lot)!
- At this point add the minced meat, crumble it into small pieces, stir with the roux … season with salt. Onion cubes and garlic, as well as the mustard … Fry for 10 minutes until the mince gets some color. Now add the Ras el Hanout (depending on your taste, more or less than indicated here) … briefly toggle it through.
- Top up with water or broth … season again with salt and pepper. If you like it spicy, you can also take chilli. Simmer for 10 minutes and stir in the sliced spring onions before serving.
- Go with potatoes or rice … also mashed potatoes and pickles.
