Christmas Cookies: Nougat Shortbread Cookies

The perfect christmas cookies: nougat shortbread cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 100 g Soft butter
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 100 g Firm nougat
  • 25 g White chocolate, finely grated
  1. Mix the powdered sugar, butter, salt, vanilla sugar and egg with a hand mixer until creamy. Mix the flour and cocoa powder and stir in briefly. Pour the dough into a piping bag (with a large star nozzle) and squirt approx.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees (or convection oven 175 degrees) on the middle rack for about 12 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack. Melt the nougat in a water bath. Dip the biscuits with the tips in the liquid chocolate, wipe them off and place on baking paper. Sprinkle with the white chocolate shavings and let dry.
