Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 80 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 80 ml milk
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 30 g walnuts
  • 20 g sugar
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, zest thereof
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • Rum flavor
  • 6 tsp cream cheese
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

for 35 pieces

First, make the muffin batter: Beat the egg with the butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in the flour and baking powder, then add the milk and stir in. Gently melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler and stir into the batter. Pour the batter into six greased muffin cups and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (convection oven) for about 25 minutes. Let the muffins cool completely and carefully remove them from the pan. Chop the walnuts into small pieces. Put the sugar in a pan and heat gently until it caramelizes. Now add the walnuts and toast briefly. Crumble the chocolate muffins into small crumbs with your hands in a large bowl. Add the caramelized walnuts to the muffin crumbs, breaking up any stuck-together pieces with your hands (careful, it’s hot!). Then chop the dark chocolate. Add this, along with the orange zest, cocoa, cinnamon, and rum flavoring, to the bowl and mix well with the breadcrumbs. Finally, knead in the cream cheese. Form the mixture into approximately 35 bite-sized balls. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler and coat the balls with it. Decorate as desired and let dry on aluminum foil.
