Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 100 g butter or margarine
  • 90 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g almond flakes
  • 50 g chocolate shavings
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 tsp, heaped baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp rum
  • ½ jar cherry(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Whisk the fat, sugar, and vanilla sugar until very fluffy. Add the eggs and beat everything thoroughly. Mix in the cinnamon, chocolate, almonds, and rum. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold into the batter. Carefully fold in the drained cherries. Pour the batter into a greased muffin tin or suitable baking cups and bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes. Whipped cream goes well with this.
