Christmas tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 ½ liters of water
  • 2 handfuls of rock sugar
  • 2 tea bags (linden blossom tea)
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Gifferstee slightly modified

Combine all ingredients in a pot with cold water and bring to a boil. Once the tea is boiling, remove the pot from the heat and let it stand for 2 or 3 minutes. Remove the boiled tea bags, star anise, and cinnamon stick, and strain the tea. Variations: You can, of course, use more or less rock sugar, depending on your taste. The same applies to the cinnamon and star anise. If you like, you can also add red wine or rum to the tea. I think orange slices would also work well in this tea.
