Churro Waffles

The perfect churro waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 125 g Gluten free flour
  • 0,5 tbsp Salt
  • 0,5 tbsp Ground psyllium husks
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 60 g Margarine
  • 250 ml Almond milk
  1. Put the almond milk, sugar and margerina, as well as the salt in a saucepan and heat. Stir so that the sugar doesn’t burn and when everything is dissolved, stir in the flea seeds and flour until a dough is formed that is shiny. Then set aside and let cool down a bit.
  2. Divide the batter into 4 portions and preheat the waffle iron. Grease the waffle iron and when it is heated add 1 portion of dough per waffle and bake until it has reached the desired degree of browning.

Tips and information

  1. Churros are crispy, so don’t be surprised that they are a little harder to eat with a knife and fork;) The waffle iron means they are lower in fat than the original, which is normally fried. For the gluten-free version, I used the flour-free Rewe
