Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 240 ml water
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 110 g butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 120 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 ml oil
  • Cinnamon sugar for rolling

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Bring the water to a boil, then add the butter and vanilla extract. Add the flour and salt. Remove the pan from the heat and quickly stir the mixture. A ball of dough will form. Heat the oil in a deep-frying pan. Mix the dough ball with the eggs. Add one egg at a time, mixing thoroughly, and then add the next. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe it into the oil. Fry for about 2 minutes on each side. Drain the churros on paper towels and roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
