Ciabatta topped with ham, cheese and tomatoes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ciabatta
  • 5 slices of cooked ham
  • 5 slices of cream cheese or Gouda or Emmental
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 30 g butter, soft
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of freshly ground pepper
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 3 sprigs of parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. For the garlic butter, press the garlic through a press or chop it finely. Wash and finely chop the parsley and thyme. Place the softened butter in a small bowl, add the garlic and herbs, salt, and pepper. Cut the bread lengthwise and spread both halves with the garlic butter. Top the bottom half with three slices of ham, slice the tomatoes, and place half on top, top with three slices of cheese, and season with oregano. Fold the bread together. Top the bread with the remaining ham, tomatoes, and cheese, and season with oregano. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. You can either bake the ciabatta yourself (there are many recipes on Chefkoch) or buy one from a bakery. You can also buy a pre-baked ciabatta. In this case, add the toppings and bake according to the package instructions. Variation: use salami instead of ham.
