Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 farmer’s baguette, approx. 400 g
- 3 gherkins
- 50 g Jalapeño(s), sliced
- 200 g cooked ham, sliced
- 200 g Emmental cheese, sliced
- 400 g roast pork in one piece
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tbsp mustard, medium hot
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Cut the cucumbers into thin slices and the roast pork into slices thicker than the cucumbers. Carefully cut the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread both halves thinly with mayonnaise, then spread a little more thickly with the mustard. Spread the cucumbers on the bottom half. Place the cooked ham on top of the cucumbers. Place the roast pork on top and scatter the jalapeños over it. Finish with the cheese. Bake the sandwich uncovered under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese melts slightly. Remove the bread from the oven and replace the lid. Press the sandwich down slightly and serve.
